Level 3: The Montage

The Montage

Level 3 builds on the skills learned in Level 2 by introducing students to an improv form called “The Montage.” In 8 weekly sessions, students start to recognize patterns and games while exploring how to heighten and connect them across multiple scenes. Emphasizing group mind and radical collaboration, students also learn how to navigate group scenes, incorporate scenic variety and deploy transformations like walk-ons, cut-tos and tag-outs.

This class culminates in a showcase performance, where students demonstrate what they’ve learned before a supportive audience of family, friends and fellow improvisers.

Learning Outcomes
