Join us for a special workshop with guest instructor James Stebick, the improv director at the Amazing Comedy Theater! This workshop, How to Work Around the Rules, is limited to just 20 students and is only available on Saturday, October 7 at 1 PM – 4 PM.
This will be a refresher of the big improv “rules” and why they are important to improv performance. And also, when and how those rules can be disregarded in the right moments or scenes. Get a sense of scene types to avoid as well as how to course correct when scenes are getting off track.
Guest Instructor Information: James Stebick is the improv director at the Amazing Comedy Theater in Huntington Beach, California. He has been a part of the improv community in Orange County California for twenty years performing, producing, and teaching improv. James’ training includes Comedy Sportz LA, the IO West, and Spectacles Improv Engine. He’s been involved with countless teams and performed multiple different styles over the years including shortform, musical, and even puppet improv. A former Blockbuster Video greeter from Mission Viejo James Stebick is passionate about improv and sharing that passion with others.
This workshop is open to all levels of improv experience.
