Lovers, Liars & Longing Looks: Improvising Through the Tropes of Shakespearean Romance with Diana Brown – Improv Workshop
Shakespearean love is never a straight line. It zigs, it zags, it swoons, it storms—and it makes for some of the richest, juiciest improv you can do.n this workshop, we’ll explore the emotional cycles that drive romantic relationships in Shakespeare’s world: instant infatuation, fiery clashes, epic misunderstandings, heartfelt reconciliations, and those delicious moments of poetic tension that make audiences lean in.
Join Diana Brown for this workshop that requires no knowledge of Shakespeare, just the willingness to explore love in an eloquent way.
We’ll focus on love through the lens of the six levels of Elizabethan Social Classes: Monarchy, Nobility, Gentry, Merchants, Yeomen, and Laborers. These classes are determined by their fame, wealth, skills, and even birth.
